Comments, notes & attachments

Every task carries a discussion (comments), a dated journal (progress notes), and files (inline images + attachments). They live in the task editor, notify the people you @-mention, and stay in sync with everyone else in real time.

Comments & @-mentions

Open a task and use the Comments section for threaded discussion — rich text, posted with ⌘↵. Type @ to mention a teammate: a picker of the project's members appears (workspace members and project guests both), and the chip shows their name while keeping their email out of the visible text. Editors post; viewers read. New comments appear instantly for everyone in the task, and the count badge updates live.

An @-mention always creates an in-app notification (the bell). It also sends a Slack DM — but only if that person has connected their own Slack account. Connecting the workspace to Slack isn't enough; each teammate individually binds their account (workspace settings → “Get DMs in Slack”). Until they do, they still get the in-app notification, just not the DM.

Progress notes

Progress notes are a task's dated journal — separate from the back-and-forth of comments. Use them for status snapshots: a line at each standup, a note when something slips. Each note is Shared (visible to all collaborators) or Private (only you), written as rich text or plain Markdown, and can carry @-mentions and inline images. A shared note's mentions notify; a private note's don't (no one else can read it). Notes surface in the task editor, as a Notes column in List view, and in the Report.

Images & attachments

  • Inline images — drag, paste, or pick one into a description, comment, or note. Large photos are compressed in your browser before upload (up to a 25 MB input, re-encoded down toward ~3 MB), so a phone snapshot just works. SVGs, GIFs, and small files pass through untouched.
  • File attachments on comments — up to 10 MB, from an allowlist: images, PDF, txt/csv/md, and modern Office files (docx/xlsx/pptx) and zip. Non-image files show as a download card. (For security, SVG and HTML files are blocked as attachments.)
