Audit
Activity log
The Activity log is a project's history: who changed what, when. Open it from the chart's Actions menu (“Activity log”). It's a read-only feed you can filter — the answer to “who moved this task?” and “what happened while I was out?”
What it records
Each entry names the person, the action, the task it touched, and the time — grouped by day (Today, Yesterday, a date). It covers the changes that matter across the project:
- Tasks — created, renamed, rescheduled, progress and status changes, reassignment, reorder, delete, and bulk edits.
- Dependencies added or removed, comments posted, progress notes added/edited/deleted, members added or removed, and cross-project references linked or unlinked.
- Filter by Who (anyone, or one person) and What (Tasks / Dependencies / Comments / Progress notes / Members) — the filtered URL is shareable, so you can send a colleague “here's every task change I made this week”.
Reach and retention
It's read-only — the log records, it never edits. Anyone who can open the project (workspace members, project guests, and read-only link viewers) can read it; a guest only ever sees activity from the project they're on, never the wider workspace. Entries are kept for 90 days, and the feed shows the most recent 200; reload to pick up new changes (it isn't live).
“Is this what Today's ‘Done today’ reads from?”
Yes — the activity feed is the source of truth for a few derived views. Today's “Done today” strip is built from completion events here, and the Report's “rescheduled” and “new” flags come from date-change and creation entries in the window. So the log isn't just an audit trail; it quietly powers the status surfaces.
